Hiya friends! Hope all is well! I must say, work is keeping me super busy, as well as home life! We finally painted our living room, got rid of some crappy old furniture, got a new couch, and cleaned up the clutter. Our home is almost where I want it – just a few more touches to go! The bf wants a Lovesac for the living room. Oh lord.
Tool doesn’t sell their music on iTunes, so I resort to playing my absolute favorite workout song on Youtube when I need that extra ooomph (usually for box jumps!).
This song never fails to get me going!
See? Mega calorie burn! Yowza! And yup, I write my workouts on my hand I usually start with a 1-2 mile interval sprint warmup, and throw in some kettle bell swings or other plyo movements between sets to keep my heart rate up. This was a sweaty one!
I know how important it is to fuel after a tough workout like this one, and boy do I have a new recipe for you (as promised on Instagram/Twitter ) Since I have been seriously upping my strength training I have been making sure I have also upped my protein intake to fuel those growing muscles!&nbs; I frequently have breakfast for dinner (brinner anyone??), so I played in the kitchen and made a delicious pancake topping that is protein packed and oh so yummy!!
This is ridiculously easy-only three ingredients! And it’s easy to make it your own, too! Change up flavored proteins for your own unique mousse!
- 2 T Truwhip light whipped topping
- 1 heaping T Vanilla egg white protein (or whey, hemp, rice, etc)
- ~1 T Unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or cows, hemp, soy, etc)
Mix a splash of almond milk with the protein powder to dissolve. Add Truwhip and mix until well combined. All more almond milk to desires mousse consistency (the more you add, the more ‘drizzle’ it will be vs mousse-like)
Top your favorite breakfast foods- waffles, pancakes, french toast, or heck even ice cream, fruit bowls, and oatmeal! Heck, I’ve been topping the mousse with granola for an afternoon protein packed snack!
Have a great Thursday everyone! Any fun plans this weekend?
